Mastering Email Marketing: Harnessing the Power of Rescheduling

Chapter 1: The Importance of Email Rescheduling
If you've been engaged in email marketing for a while, chances are you have a collection of previous emails saved. During those times when I'm pressed for time to send an email promotion to my audience, I often revisit this archive. I typically look back over the past year, searching for an email that had a strong open rate. I then compare its performance with the sales data for that particular offer and decide to reuse it.
Often, these emails take the form of a narrative, with a sales pitch tucked away in the postscript. Before re-sending, I ensure that the sales page is still operational and that all links are functional. If I need to promote a different product, I make the necessary adjustments. To create a sense of urgency, I set a countdown timer, making the offer available for two to three days. Following the deadline, I redirect visitors to a "Sorry, this offer has ended" page. Trust me, creating urgency works wonders.
Once everything is set, I establish a schedule for sending promotional emails to my list. I meticulously review each email to ensure they remain relevant and free of time-sensitive references, like mentioning events from the previous year. My priority is to draft the daily emails even before I have breakfast and my morning coffee; this is crucial since it generates revenue.
Throughout the day, there are countless tasks that vie for my attention, but it’s reassuring to have the most important ones completed early. I also keep a few general-topic emails ready to go, which can be dispatched quickly whenever needed. Life can be unpredictable, as evidenced by the day my washing machine hose burst and flooded the kitchen—my focus was far from writing that day.
Some days, creativity flows effortlessly, while others, it feels elusive. It's part of being human. If I sit down to write seven emails at once and then experience a creative drought for three days, I can bounce back with another five when inspiration strikes again. By working this way, it’s possible to build a reservoir of emails ready for deployment throughout the year.
While writing an email each morning carries its challenges, maintaining a backlog of at least a week's worth of emails alleviates the pressure when unexpected events arise or when motivation wanes. There’s no denying that strategically scheduling your email writing can be incredibly beneficial!
