Another week has flown by, marking the time for our Friday check-in for those on the journey to sobriety!

My question for you this week is: how do you plan to channel the extra energy you'll gain this weekend by abstaining from alcohol?
For me, it's straightforward: I’m aiming to shake off the lingering effects of a tough battle with COVID (you can read about my journey with it here). Earlier this week, I highlighted my top health benefit from taking a 30-day break from drinking, which was my enhanced physical and mental readiness to tackle this pandemic challenge.

I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to one individual in particular.
As I approach a month of discussing sobriety topics on Medium, I’m genuinely amazed by the overwhelming response and enthusiasm from readers.
I’m not sure I would have approached Medium with such determination without the encouragement from the initial group of readers who engaged with my content and left positive comments.
In the first few weeks, one person consistently highlighted my articles, giving me the confidence that I was on the right path. That person is the remarkable Michele Maize (The Sober Vegan Yogi), who also produces fantastic content every week!
While we all have tip jars on this platform, how often do we give back to others? I just made my first contribution to Michele. Thank you for unknowingly motivating me to continue writing during those early days!
