Finding Our True Home: A Spiritual Journey

Chapter 1: A Quest for Inner Peace
In our journey through life, we often find ourselves searching for a sense of belonging that transcends physical spaces.
Sitting quietly beneath the cherry blossom tree, I felt an overwhelming sadness I couldn't quite comprehend. Confusion about my existence consumed me, and I yearned for lasting tranquility, craving stillness and freedom.
My heart felt burdened, and I wished to escape my own being. I was unsure what this truly meant, but the weight was suffocating, almost like a mental fog. In my desperation, I prayed for an end to the turmoil.
Through divine grace and the guidance of saints, clarity emerged. I discovered the destination that would liberate me from my suffering, and the fog began to lift, allowing my mind to breathe once more.
I realized I belong to the supreme soul—God—who embodies kindness, strength, and beauty. His love and peace envelop us eternally; there is no place in existence devoid of His presence. He transcends time and space, the creator of an infinite universe, yet He is also my closest companion, my protector, and all the relationships I hold dear.
He exists in formlessness yet manifests in forms to connect with His devotees. With the blessings of the saints, I understood that my true desire is to be united with Him.
This world, known as Mrityu lok, or the "mortal realm," cannot be my true home if I am a soul. It serves as a trap, leading us through cycles of heaven, hell, and earthly existence. Our good deeds create experiences in paradise, while our misdeeds lead us to suffering. This cycle results in the highs and lows we encounter in life, but ultimately, what lies ahead?
This isn’t my true home; my home is with God. To be absorbed in Him, to make Him my everything—that is where I belong. It’s about transcending the validation of the physical body and embracing divine love. If God is omnipresent, He resides in our loved ones—our spouses, children, and parents. We must treat them with kindness, love, and respect, setting aside selfish desires and material longings. Understand that God appears in these forms to share love, and eventually, we will discover Him and reach our true home.
A home that surpasses imagination and words.
Can we utter just one phrase to God?
"I love you, God. I may feel unworthy, but I know your love for me is boundless. One day, I will learn to love you in return. I am yours, and you are mine. Help me, Lord, to surrender myself to you."
Dear Readers,
In conclusion, remember that you are not merely a physical body, but a soul connected to the highest essence. Our purpose here is to return to our beloved God. While controlling our minds can be challenging, let us strive to navigate this world of imperfections positively. Engage in good deeds to honor a Lord who loves us more than we can fathom. Let’s refrain from indulging in content that incites lust, unwarranted anger, or desires for fame and power—things that are not aligned with our true nature.
As mortals, let us depart this world having done good and fostering love for God, rising above the cycles of birth and death. Let’s begin each day with the affirmation, "I love you, God," and embrace our day with the knowledge that we belong to Him.
