Chapter 1: Introduction to Week 5 of 75 Hard
The fifth week of the 75 Hard challenge has proven to be transformative, particularly as I navigated through travel and family commitments. This week’s journey took me from a typical gym routine to adapting my workouts while on the road, demonstrating the importance of flexibility in achieving goals.
Reflecting on the past few days, I found myself not just battling physical obstacles but also confronting mental challenges that accompanied this journey.
Section 1.1: Day 29—Prepping for Travel
On November 21, 2023, I wrapped up my last workout before heading to Colorado. Preparing for the 75 Hard challenge while on the go required strategic planning. My morning started strong at the gym, but it quickly shifted when my daughter’s friends arrived, leading to an impromptu Starbucks run. I cherish these moments with her and her friends. After a quick workout, I finished some tasks at the office, then prepared for a Ruck session later in the day. After a refreshing shower, I enjoyed a music lesson with my daughter, unexpectedly switching to the ukulele, which turned out to be a delightful experience.

The following day, November 24, started with a family gym visit. The facility had excellent equipment, making my leg workout particularly rewarding. Afterward, I completed another Ruck session, enjoying the brisk weather, which added to the day’s excitement.

On November 27, I started my day with an energized gym session focused on chest and arms. Resuming my supplements from 1st Phorm made a noticeable difference in my routine. After completing my work tasks, I embarked on another Ruck, and an unexpected burst of energy led me to the gym for a third session, primarily focusing on legs.
In closing, as I wrap up this fifth week, I’m thrilled with my progress—now weighing in at 266.8 lbs, down from over 280 lbs just a month ago. The transformation is inspiring, and I’m eager to continue this journey into the next week!
